Brief Description

To support management and the field staff by providing them with day to day, and monthly reporting. Responsible for creating, and maintaining ETL feeds into the data warehouse as well as administration of the databases. I am also responsible for the development and maintenance of the in-house CRM system used for administering Liquor Licenses, Cooler Barcodes and Outlet information.

  • Develop and deploy a change control methodology for trade:
    • Deliver signed off methodology.
    • Conduct weekly status meetings to review progress and issues.
    • Define critical path events and focus the team on issues if the schedule is in jeopardy.

  • Data Warehousing:
    • Lead efforts to analyse data for source/target mappings, created PHP / MySQL scripts for data processing and automations.
    • Lead database administration and database performance tuning efforts to provide scalability and accessibility in a timely fashion, provide 24/7 availability of data, and solve end-user reporting and accessibility problems.
    • Proactively identified, managed, and corrected data quality issues with reports provided to sales managers.
    • Developed ETL scripts to enable daily processing of 1-4 GB data sets into data warehouse.
    • Optimized ETL performance to provide quickest response time possible.
    • Automated and executed operational processes and procedures to ensure uptime and performance in a high-availability web-based environment.

    • Develop & maintain in-house CRM system for managing key outlet information.

    • Attend and represent the BI team in the relevant forums to create visibility on current system, product and process deficiencies.
